Our improved form from the second half at Writtle carried over to this match, and we created a fair few chances against a well-organised Colchester side. Louise buried our opener, and Edie added a second after a great run and cross from Izzy down the left, but then we let Colchester back into it midway into the second half (themselves having been unlucky with fantastic 30-yard shot that hit the bar). 2-2, but a last-minute back-pass led to an indirect free kick on the edge of the box, Louise pushed it right for Edie, who planted it spot-on into the right-hand corner. A desperately needed 3 points for us, dismay for Colchester, but a great, open game between two sides who really should be higher up the division . . .
